Friday Progress Update, Mar 29: "Partytime!"

Friday Progress Update, Mar 29: "Partytime!"

Ah, here we go again!
No better way to spend a Friday than writing one of them progress updates! They usually get a couple of likes so I know that there are people out there reading them. It's all for you!

So what's the progress like, man?

The voice is back. I've missed you.

Stop stalling.

Sorry! It's good. Very good. Never as good as it could be, of course. Last week I claimed release within three weeks. That means within two weeks now and I still stand by that. I've passed 620 renders now and we will land at 700+ for the update. Next Friday, I intend to be done with rendering and about to start postwork. That could mean a release early in the week after next weekend. I'm feeling good about half the update (more, even) is already postworked and playtested.

Skip the last hundred renders and release the update tomorrow!

No, no no. If I were going to make a shorter update, I would have released it after the party. Now I'm following through until I get to my intended stopping point.

Another lame cliffhanger.

How did you know!? But it's just a little one, I promise.

Whatever, just give us our Beth preview picture.

Your wish is my command. This exact render might not be in the update, but it's from a scene in the update, if you know what I mean.

Okay, I see Beth. But who's-

Pfft. You must be blind. Anyway, that's where we stand. My biggest update so far in render count and lines of dialogue and it's dropping (knock on wood) in about ten days.

So what else is up? Well, nothing really. I follow what's new on the assets front, and there are more and more stuff being released for g9. Okay, sorry, alert: This is Daz3d stuff. If you're uninterested, consider the Friday progress update over.

So anyway, I'm seeing more and more characters, hairs, and clothes I like. I don't like upgrading software mid-project so I can't use it even if I wanted to. Besides, I'm not adding any more girls anyway. But for my next project, I might have to seriously consider it. I mean, assuming there is a next project of course. Never say never and so on.

If you didn't know, everything in MtP is g8. My version of Daz needs to be upgraded to run g9. I'm not sure about g8.1 but not a lot of g8.1 specific stuff out there anyway.

I've even written down some characters I liked the look of, that could be suitable as base characters. Some hairs and stuff too. Otherwise I'd forget most of it before it becomes relevant.

Okay, enough about that. I'll get back to setting up renders. Thanks for reading and thanks for your support. Talk to you again soon!

I look forward to the update

Hang in there, 10 more days, give or take.

Take your time, you're a master of your craft, would hate to play something rushed
