Friday Progress Update, October 27.

Hey, guys!

Thank you for tuning in to listen to this Friday's Progress Update!

It's been what feels like a really short week. I am both doing good, and I'm behind where I thought I'd be.

That doesn't make any sense!

Oh, no, the imaginary voices are back. Please, let me explain. The last update was my biggest so far at 18k words of dialogue and 530(?) renders. I had also promised a deadline and stressed like hell to make it. For this update, I said I wouldn't do a deadline, and I'd set my sights a little lower, you know? Maybe 450 renders or so?

So forward almost a month and here we are. I've passed 300 renders, which I consider quite decent for a month. With a bunch of animations done too. But, and it's a big but, when I look at where I'm in as far as the script goes, it looks like there's still so much to do!

So? We like big updates. How is this a problem?

I mean, it's not really a problem. I'm just surprised at how the script's running away from me. I'm throwing renders at it but the end is still kind of distant :(

Bla bla bla, when's the update anyway?

When it's ready, I said I wouldn't do deadlines. I'm working on it every day!

Okay, that's fine. It's November in three days. We want it in November.

Feels like you're giving me a deadline there, mate. But also not much of a deadline. Of course it'll be in November, otherwise it would have to land at some 700+ renders and that's way more than I'm shooting for. Besides, it's just this scene, that scene, those two over there, then a couple of more to go. Phew.

So anyway, yeah, that's where I'm at right now. I guess I had best get back at it, my daily quota is not achieved yet! I haven't forgotten about the wallpaper I'm supposed to do, I just want to, you know, get a bit further with the rendering and at least complete the current, rather long scene.

Cheers and thanks for reading, and for your support. Have a nice weekend!

FWIW, I say to not kill/rush yourself. Your production so far is excellent, you are telling a terrific tale, and your renders are excellent. It takes time to do all that. I think your audience understands and agrees with me.
